Can anyone take a quick look at a 1500 word fic today?

Have you lost the will to write fic? Looking to jump start your creative juices? Do you want to work with and be inspired by your fellow HP authors but don't have time to role-play? Role players; do you want a place to play outside your game or to introduce outsiders to your characters? Looking to make new friends in the fandom? Come on over to
roundrobinhp ! Everyone is free to jump in to most threads or to start a new one. The rules are simple:
If you find that you want to contribute to a public post, jump on in.
Word limit (on individual comments) is 100 words, though we're not going to count one way or another. The point is not to take over and finish the story.
By your participation, you are agreeing to let go and let the story ride.
Anybody can start a new story at any time. You can predetermine characters, genre, if it will be shippy, a certain ship or just leave it open. If you want to only write with prearranged people, that's OK, just make it a private post.
Here is a handy template for new stories:
Title:
Genre:
Character/Pairing:
Rating:
Public or Private?:
Summary:
Any HP related story is OK--canon, EWE, AU, crossovers, etc.--as long as you provide proper warnings.
If you like a story, please let the authors know at our watcher community
hprrwatchers .

So, I just realized that I was supposed to get
roundrobinhp started today. Well, more like I was supposed to get it pimped all over the place before today, but...brain fog and all that.
So, without further ado....
Title: (TBA)
Rating: Up to R
Genre: Could be anything at this point
Characters/Pairing: Neville/?
Summary: On the weekend before his first term as Herbology Professor, Neville visits Diagon Alley for some last minute supplies. Little did he know what adventures were in store for him there.
It wasn’t as though he hadn’t done it before. Seven years of packing the very same trunk, filled to bursting with school robes, books, toiletries, treats and toys, and possibly a comic book or two. He smiled as he remembered how he’d always managed to leave something behind—sometimes he wondered if he hadn’t done it on purpose, for that last bit of contact with his Gran, to give her a chance to fuss and sigh over his forgetfulness and to give him a reminder that someone cared about him, at least.
Someone go get Neville out of his trunk for Pete's sake. He's going to forget everything anyway, right?

So, about the last post. I got really excited last night, coming up with all sorts of grandiose plans, (it's like a cross between RPing and comment porn!) which is pretty silly considering that only around a dozen responded to the poll. Still, that dozen contains some fabulous writers, and what is more, some who don't write much any more and who I'd be thrilled to see even a paragraph from. Also, it would be a way for writers newer to the fandom to get to interact with people whose stories they loved and for everyone involved to meet new people.
That said.........(drumroll)
roundrobinhp !
Ok, so here is the idea:
The first entry will be a completely open round robin that can keep going until whenever. Based on the poll, I'm thinking it's going to be Neville-centric, possibly set on his last Saturday before starting as a teacher. He can go to Diagon Alley and run into people. That way, romance could ensue, or it could be pure crack, or gen, depending on where you lovely people take it. The only question is whether I would gather a limited number of authors and do it on a 'take a number, you're up next' basis, or have it be open, to where the first person to claim it gets to write the next segment.
After that, anyone can start a new round robin. I would create a header, where you specify whether this is for specific people to write together or public. It would also specify the rating, genre, warnings, characters (whom you could pre-select if you want) and possibly a summary (which could obviously be changed as you go. In that mandatory header, I would also provide a link to a watcher community, where people can comment on individual round robins or in general. Frankly, I don't see this taking off unless people could get feedback every now and again.
The rules would be that there are no rules. Anyone participating (particularly in an open RR) would have to be willing to give up control and let the story go.
My biggest concern is shippers, and those that might be offended by having their name connected with something that contains a pairing they hate. Or people coming by just to add in backround info supporting their own ships. Hopefully people will act like grown ups, but I could also add something to the header that specifies OBHWF, EWE, or AU.
Anyway, this is what I am thinking, and I am open to any ideas. I am also very open to the idea of a co-mod or two, and I would do disgusting things for a banner, icons, and a header to help with the plugging I will have to do. And pimping would be greatly appreciated.
I think that If I give this a week to get started, that should be enough time.
Sadly, in creating this journal, I made a boneheaded mistake and changed my own theme, which is completely custom and as far as I know, irretrievable. Anyone who's been here a while knows I've had this thing forever and I had no intention of changing, it, ever. Anyway, I may try to redo it, but in the meantime, I think the new one is sort of me, too. And looks more 'spring' than 'fall,'
Anyway, have I mentioned that I'd love some input on this harebrained scheme!

I realize that a lot of you are overloaded with fests and projects, and it seems really dead around here.
That said, I got a sort of brainstorm this morning and I am trying to gauge interest.
What I am thinking of is a round robin thing. like comment porn, just working with the idea of the previous poster. Maybe 50 word maximum. Now, I could do it small-time, perhaps as a meme and I could host it informally on my journal, or if enough people expressed interest, I could do a community.
I realized that what I miss about rping is working with and being inspired by my fellow writers. I think it might take a little organization. Either people would have to take numbers, or it would have to be first come first served--like someone saying, 'I got this next one' and then going back and adding it. There could even be multiple threads, or if it was a community, multiple entries. I'd love to see how far I can take it.
Does this sound like fun?

Would you participate in a HP Round Robin?
Should I host it on my journal, or should I start a comm?
Who would you most like to see featured in the story. Pairing or character.
If you do not want to participate, would you watch?
Genre?

I wish I could take them, but I've already taken in two housing collapse victims (one human, one canine.) Still, it doesn't hurt to spread the word.

Title: Redemption
Chapter One: Ashes
Rating: R, eventually, though this chapter is PG
Setting: Post-battle, possibly epilogue compliant, but Astoria? Rolf? Who the hell are they?
Pairing: Draco/Luna
Summary: Draco discovers that redemption can be found in the oddest places.
A/N: I really wanted someone else to write this fic, because the one place I don't want to be is in Draco's head. Plus, having three multi-chapters going on at once is a very, very bad idea, right? But this particular plot bunny is as obnoxious as this story's protagonist. I have it plotted out and expect it to be about six to eight chapters.
